Pamela Fisher Pam Fisher's biography is simple, she loves to dance and share her passion with others, teaching them to have fun dancing. Her enthusiasm is catching and anyone who isn’t sure about taking lessons will quickly become comfortable as she makes classes fun and puts everyone at ease with her simplistic teaching style. Pam started out as a line dance instructor in California 17 yrs ago. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 12 years, teaching swing, country, line dance and a bit of ballroom. Her favorite dances to teach are West Coast Swing, Two Step and Line Dance. During her career she had competed, judged, owned dance conventions and performance teams. Pam specializes in teaching those who are 'dance challenged', even teaching the deaf & disabled. Pam teaches dance for COCC (Central Oregon Comm College) in Redmond. Pam and her husband, Bob are thrilled at having the opportunity to bring her experience to Central Oregon and look forward to teaching you!
Johanna Fickett Latin, swing, ballroom ~ it doesn't much matter as long as Johanna can dance. Johanna hails from Portland, Maine where she has 20+ years of extensive experience as an instructor, choreographer and Studio Director. She enjoys the performing arts, including instrumentals, miming, clowning and vocal. Johanna travels to Mexico every year to learn more Latin dance rhythms and dances. Pam and Bob are pleased to have Johanna on the CODC team where her winning smile and pleasant personality will have you coming back for more lessons & dancing! As of June 2008, Johanna lives in Walla Walla, Washington. She will be coming back to CODC regularly for special events and workshops.
Larry Dyer Larry’s dance career started in 1978 at a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Southern California. With a well-rounded repertoire in Ballroom, Latin, Square, Round and Line Dancing, his focus has been Salsa and Argentine Tango. He has been fortunate to study technique and pattern development with national champions in Argentina & the US. Larry’s greatest satisfaction is teaching beginners with whom he shares his enthusiasm and patience in pursuing dance. Larry is looking forward to working with new people who want to have fun and get great exercise with dance. Bob and I welcome Larry with his fun personality, his experience and his connection with partner, Noelle. You will thoroughly enjoy his lessons.
Noelle Haggerty Noelle’s dance career has been a life-long achievement, starting with Ballet as a young girl. She has sought out dance of different styles which include West-African, Cuban-style Rumba, Latin, Country, Swing, Argentine Tango, Square, Round and Line Dancing. She performed for two years with a group under the direction of Michael Miller, a well-respected dancer and instructor in the Long Beach, CA area. She has received private instruction with International Ballroom Champions, Igor & Natalia, and National Tango Champions, Juan & Gimena. Noelle has combined her background in corporate training, human resources and cultural/language instruction with her sincere appreciation and enjoyment of the art of dance. Her forte is instruction in basic dance techniques focusing on proper frame, partner alignment, etiquette and most of all helping students feel good and positive about themselves as dancers. She has taught small groups and individuals in Argentina and Long Beach. She has been dancing with her partner Larry Dyer for five years. Noelle is honored to be welcomed into the Central Oregon dance community and is looking forward to working with all students in sharpening their dance skills. Bob and I are pleased to add Noelle to our staff. Her winning personality will bring you back for instruction again and again.
Laura Vanderhoff Laura is a certified Group & Aqua Instructor, and an Official Zumba Instructor. She taught Hip Hop and children’s ballet. Growing up dancing in ballet c ompanies and touring Europe, Laura’s passion is for dance and fitness. Laura grew up in Seattle, now lives in Bend with her husband and five children. She does synchronized swimming and is a leader in their church youth group. Join Laura at CODC for morning Zumba at 10:30 on Tuesday and Thursday.
